We're hearing a bunch of new words and some oldies!
Hungry, No, Go, More, Again, I don't know, and Let me Go! and Help.
Whether big or small, an inch makes a foot and a foot makes a mile, or in this case--a milestone. These are Owen's Inchstones in Life with Autism, Apraxia and Sensory Integration Disorder.

Splish Splash!
On Monday we met up with the Camerato/Arasz Team and went to The Funplex in Mt. Laurel. They have a great little water park that Owen adored. He went down the waterslide the 1st time and looked a little unsure as he came down, but when he hit the little pool of water--
He was SOLD!

A Family 4th
Yesterday was July 4th so we went over to Casey & Jeff's for a BBQ.
Family, great food and a pool! Owen was thrilled!
He was in the pool for a bit with cousin Sarah and Aunt Diane while Daddy put his suit on. He thought it was a scream that Sarah was jumping out from under the water..
Then there was his swimsuit. I pulled it up SO many times.. But he kept pulling it down! He also loved playing in his "tent", aka the table.

Then it was back in the pool. He didn't want much of his tube on the 2nd dip. I think he wanted to be a big boy. He did a great job practicing his kicking.
We didn't stick around for Fireworks, after his reaction to the train ride yesterday, I figured that was a bad idea.
Hope you had a Happy 4th! Thanks again, Jeff & Casey for a fun time.

Allaire Village
It was really nice out today so we took a ride down to Allaire State Park to walk around the village and take the train ride. We did both, 1 part was great, 1 part, not so great..
We went right to the train ride got our tickets and waited for the train to pull in. Owen was a little cranky, I thought it was because he was a little bored but I tried to press on..
Well, I shouldn't have.
He had a complete meltdown on the train. We were sitting in the open air compartment and he was so upset we actually moved into the caboose and sweated our you know what off. He was a little better in there, but not much.
Once we got off the train, he had a drink, and he was our fun loving, nature boy again.
We just roamed the park, looked around, and let Owen explore. He loved the lake, not to be expected. The boy loves water.

Rhymes with Spit, Sit, Hit, Fit, Knit...
and it's a curse word -- I'm sure you know it, now Owen does too. He just said it about 10 times in a row. It reminded me of the Electric Company when they would start off saying the first part, and then another person would say the other part..
SSSSSHHHH......
I'm sure you get the point. :)
